What is ADCC ?

The Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) is a martial arts organization that was founded in the United Arab Emirates. The ADCC hosts the only professional mixed martial arts tournament in the world that allows fighters from all fighting styles to compete.

The ADCC was founded by Sheik Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the president of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Sheik Tahnoon the became a fan of MMA. Shortly after that he started studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in San Diego, California. He wanted to create a tournament for all martial arts disciplines, not just Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The first event was held in 1998 and had six participants from four different countries.

ADCC Abu Dhabi Combat Club goals:

- To provide a world-class platform for the best grapplers to showcase their skills and techniques.

- To promote the development of grappling as a sport and as a means of self-defense.

- To provide an opportunity for athletes from all over the world to compete on an even playing field, regardless of their nationality, race or religion.

ADCC World Submission Fighting Championship

The ADCC World Submission Fighting Championship is a submission-only grappling event. It is the most prestigious of its kind, with no points or time limit.

The first edition of the ADCC was held in 1998 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event has been held every two years since then, except for 2004 and 2006.

The ADCC World Submission Fighting Championship 2022 is an event that takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is a submission-only grappling tournament.
